Default Poker in Saint Louis

Has anyone ever played in St. Louis? If so, any good games? And what limits? I like to play hold'em in the 10-20 to 30-60 range.

Thanks for any input you can give.

Just passed through ST LOU this past weekend- apparantly the only medium limit games are at the Ameristar in St. Charles (about 15 min outside the city.) Lots of low-limit jackpot games, no 10-20, but there was a very good 20-40 game that went all weekend. Was told that the game isn't as juicy during the week, but can't say for sure. New for me, you have to get a card before you can even enter the casino, and the cashier will only let you buy $500 in chips every two hours. Sorry can't give you more info- GL

I played there this summer and I played 10-20 at Ameristar which I believe they only spread on weekends, the game was sort of tight, not too much gambling, decent players. I also played 20-40 at the Admiral (I think that's the name) downtown, which they spread on Sun, Wed, and Fri while I was there. That game was really good, a few really good solid players, the rest just gamblers, there were 2 tables going when I played on a Sunday. However, you can only buy $500 in chips every 2 hrs, but you can get around this, by buying chips early, or there are usually people that will sell them to you on the hush, hush. Anyway, if you do play, get there early b/c the games fill up fast and there might be a couple hour wait for a seat, and buy chips ahead of time in 2hr increments if you don't want to sneak and buy from someone. Hopefully this drunk crazy guy called crazy horse will be playing he's really funny and a big gambler, when he starts losing everyone calls him crazy pony. Good luck.

Ameristar in St Charles is your best choice. I-70 west of St Louis, just over the Missouri River bridge. About 15 min from airport, 30 min from downtown.

Casino facility and poker room is 3 months old and beautiful. See a couple posts in the archives from August.

Big jackpot right now so there are many games at the very low limits. But I have always seen 20-40 there on weekends.

And-----if you go-----"watch out for Carol".
