easy decision?, 3 players left 215$
Seat 3: BUTTON (4420)
Seat 7: SB (3090) Seat 9: BB (2490) Blinds 200-400, stack sizes are before blinds. BUTTON pushes. You are the SB and have A8s. Do you call? Easy decision? |

Re: easy decision?, 3 players left 215$
How often has button been pushing? (ie, what range of hands do you put him on?) How tight have they both been in defending their blinds? I'd probably fold, if just thrown into this spot randomly. Then again, I've made posts titled "I play in the money badly" so you never know. But I don't think this is a good enough hand in a vacuum even to be calling. Certainly not if the pusher has been tight, or if they have been very tight on their own BBs. There's a couple other factors, but those are probably enough.

I believe that if you know your opponents play perfectly, you should call here. Of course most people don't play perfectly...
(Also I might be wrong about this) |

i love you man.
citanul ps: yeah, if they play perfectly, you i think call here. but that also implies that your opponents are not letting you run them over, and stuff like that. |

You have to start thinking in terms of a read of the other guy, on top of your own cards, if you are going to figure this sort of thing out.
So, what do you put him on for calling hands? eastbay |
