"best of the crew" - I'm not sure that's technically much of a compliment. He is having a good year though I'll give him that much. And he hasn't ripped off anyone that I know of, so he's two up on boyd.

boyd used to run an online poker-room called pokerspot.com.


when they closed shop they conveniently didn't pay many of their customers.
some players lost thousands of dollars. many of those players blame boyd personally even though he says it's not really his fault and that he lost money too.

btw...does anyone find it curious that espn NEVER mentions pokerspot? they love talking about the crew, his gay chip-tricks, and his childhood education....but i would think that the fact some people accuse him of ripping off his customers for thousands of dollars would be worth mentioning.

but they seem to have a general policy regarding not mentioning any specific online poker-sites so perhaps this has something to do with it.

notice that in last year's WSOP...moneymaker won his way in 'via an ONLINE satellite'...they never say 'pokerstars', they just let his clothing do the talking for him. probably related to their reasoning behind not mentioning the pokerspot situation.

Yes I agree, its rude when I have said that, at the very least it makes people uncomfortable at the table, and thats not cool. I guess sometimes rude needs to be met with rude [img]/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]

I agree that watching "the crew" get there heads handed to them on TV would be cool. Maybe ESPN can set up a feature with the fult tilt guys vrs the crew, or the crew vrs Danial N, and the group he hangs with. He certainly didnt seem like a real nice guy in the telecast. Maybe ESPN set him up. He seemed like a real cocky pr1ck. Even if ESPN choose to use the "cocky acting" pieces of footage, the kid still said things that made him look like a CP, and ESPN had nothing to do with that. I do wish I had his talent though [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Haven't seen any of the telecast. All I can say is that I've known the kid for about 3 years now and he's a pretty cool and nice guy. But he's young, had some serious health issues not too long ago, and came from having no money to winning a ton all at once in a game where you IMO need to have a certain amount of ego just to survive. I'd have been one cocky mofo myself. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] That doesn't make him a bad guy.
