SB checks, Hero pushes

Final Pot:

Hero is playing like a borderline maniac but denies being on tilt. Good news is that Villain doesn't know this because he just sat down. Bad news is that Hero doesn't know anything about Villain. Considering all this, is this a chip spew?

3-barrel bluffs win 2-barrel pots. But when you are wrong they lose your whole stack. I'd me more inclined to think about this if that wasn't a diamond on the river. I'd check behind either the flop or turn. Not sure which, but one of them for sure.

the turn is the perfect scare card to bluff.

but once he calls that. you have pretty much zero fold equity on the river.

what are you representing on the river?
KQd? AA?

I think this is spewing.

Are you even trying to put him on a hand, or do you just REALLY REALLY want this pot?

What on earth does he call the turn bet with that he folds to the river bet?

Not to mention, you just picked up some showdown value.

Ok I kinda thought so. My thinking at the time was that the turn is a good bluff card for me so I opted not to check behind. He calls so I guess he has something like a high pocket pair and doesn't want to fold or a weak T that thinks this as WA/WB. When the river flush hits I thought that'd make for another good scare card because I could very well imagine myself firing two barrels with a flushdraw. Now that I think about it it's probably too much for him to think this way too and therefore I don't have much fold equity at all. I wasn't trying to represent any hand in particular because the board itself is kinda scary and I could have a lot of hands.

He called me with KK and I reminded myself not to bluff against unknowns.
