I just wouldn't go around proclaiming a share right now and buy big ten champ shirts or anything. Especially when Ohio State has had numerous sole championships. It reminds me of a few Michigan fans I saw wearing undefeated t-shirts around the year they went 8-0-3 in the early 90s. I overstated it, but shared titles are kinda lame IMO when you lose the head-to-head tiebreaker. It's a weird moral line in my mind. Still a title, but not quite the luster on it. For example, you'll never see me in a 2001-02 big ten bball champ shirt because it was shared with 3 other schools (including the Buckeyes- OH IO) and there are better accomplishments from my school recently as tOSU has better football achievements too. HOwever, I would get and proudly wear a BCS bowl shirt. Like I said, it's kind of a weird moral line for me and I'm sure a few others feel the same. |

[/ QUOTE ] I think that claim belongs to Indiana by virtue of their totally unexpected run to the NCAA finals. By the letter of the law a few teams can lay claim, but real fans know. Ohio State fans shouldn't be boasting about this co-championship. The Buckeyes have too much proud history on their side to be caught up in claiming cheapies. |
