Default Burn on my finger

I was taking some chicken nuggets out of the oven tonight and managed to burn my middle finger on the pan. i immediatly ran it under cold water and have pretty much been soaking it in cold water for the past 2 hrs but it stll hurts like hell the second i take it out of the water. A pretty big blister has developed which I think suggests its like a 2nd degree burn?? Is there anything I can do to ease the burning sensation so I can go to sleep?

Aloe is good- if you have an aloe plant (unlikely) you can break off a stem and use the goo inside, will feel slightly better. Otherwise some lotion with aloe in it could help slightly less.

Burns suck.
