Re: amazing conversation at 20/40 live table
I get the impression that you're discussing a limit game in the NL forum. The fact that there's no content merely makes things worse.

Re: amazing conversation at 20/40 live table
Sorry guys but i have to disagree with some of you on this one. I have not found any poker literature that espouses raiseing on the button with K9 following 2 limpers...just to steel the blinds and limps. In fact some of the lit. actually suggests slow playing in early position just to catch these position raisers with a pre-flop reraise.

Theres a good chance he just said he was trying to sound like a fish. I give lots of stupid answers for why I do things at the table.

Re: amazing conversation at 20/40 live table
You wouldn't do it just after sitting down, unless trying to build image. I'd do it if I knew the players that limped in don't limp-raise. By the time you've been at a table for an hour or so (half-hour if you're really good) you should know which players limping means free money, and which means don't even think about it.

Re: amazing conversation at 20/40 live table
sorry but someone pointed out my mistake. i didn't notice that i mistakenly posted this in the no-limit section. he was correct when he said that i was probably talking about a limit game. i guess that explains the confusion. sorry again.
