Mid pair with decent kicker in BB

I had 8Jo in the BB flop came down rainbow 872. I bet out, get one caller in MP then the button raises(who I have no read on, I just sat down and was in for 15 minutes or so). Next card is a King. I check, MP checks, button bets and I muck.

The button shows the 89o to win the pot. Should I have reraised him with this marginal hand on the flop? Thanks

Reraise flop and bet out the turn.

How many players at the table, what limit, how many limpers? You cannot recommend a 3 bet without knowing all the details.

Full Table(actually 8 at the time, A few fellows went to go play on the craps table for a quick minute).

Limit was 10-20 and there were 4 limpers to see the flop. Also the turn card was a king.

you need to c/r that flop if 4 players limped. Also, if he is a normal player, you only lose to A8 on the flop. You most definately beat 89/T8 which will his most likely hand if not a draw.
