Default 10/20 Value bet river 2?

Button is loose passive.

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
3 folds, Button calls, 1 fold, Hero checks.

Flop: (2.50 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

Turn: (2.25 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

River: (4.25 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero ?

Button is on the passive side but not so much that he will never bet a hand worse than mine here, but he is no habitual bluffer by any means.

Do I have a value bet?

I don't think a worse hand is calling here. I would check and try to induce a bluff from A-high.

I'd bet. A-high will call. Sometimes K-high will call.

Sometimes I wonder what is going through peoples heads when they post advice taht is pretty much the opposite of correct.

Check/calling is the worst of the options because you are giving villain the choice to value bet his better hands and take a free showdown with his worse ones (like A-high). In this situation I usually check/fold, but sometimes bet/fold depending on villain. I'd really want to have seen what he is willing to pay to showdown before I bet this.

yea i would definitely not check/call. It's either bet/fold or check/fold. Check/fold is nice because passives dont bluff too much and he might check a 9 or a better 4. However he's gonna call with ace high because of the paired board and passives do bluff *sometimes* so a bet prevents it. I think it's close but a bet.

It was mostly this part: [ QUOTE ]
try to induce a bluff from A-high.

[/ QUOTE ] that I had a problem with. Ace high will probably call, but will not bluff. If ace high bet it would be more of a value bet than a bluff. If he would have said "induce a bluff from a missed draw" or something, that would be fine. But this inducing a bluff from A high stuff is stupid.
