Re: QQ: Play-Along Street-by-Street
I think that we have to bite the bullet and c/overcall. The maniac will definitely bet, and there's not way we can get the other player to drop.
We can hope he had QJ and whiffed. Do you c/r the LAG if he folds? I would. |

Re: QQ: Play-Along Street-by-Street
I check here, betting down NOTHING for you. This is a scary position.. with these lps lags and the maniac you will likely have to fold this hand at some time ..
I check/call the flop and fold any time its 2 bets cold to me .. I bet out the turn if its not an A or completes a 3 straight and everyone checks on the flop and I fold if raised (unless by the maniac). If the card on the turn is dangerous I check/call and see the river and then check/call one last time. I think this is right... |

This increases my pot equity, my fold equity (against players who realize I know I'm going to get raised), it has value because there's a great chance I have the best hand on the flop and with about 99% certainty the maniac will raise and face 2 players with calling 2-cold - which, when they fold, increases my chances of winning and already big pot at showdown. I'm checking the flop exactly never. |

Re: QQ: Play-Along Street-by-Street
Playing passively against maniacs with a strong holding is a huge mistake.
crunchy definitely played this correctly. |
