The turn raise is kinda close, but i would be inclined to check this river. In the heat of the moment, i probably would have played it just like you.

Yeah... But as soon as it was over and I thought about it some more, the river bet looked pretty bad.

I'd rather not get into it. I dont know the man personally, he or his buddies post here and thought it would be funny. Its ok i dont wish him any ill will. I actually think he's kinda funny. i forgive him for insulting me when he never met me or talked to me. I look forward to his next video i will watch.

I think you played the hand perfectly and I think other posters are giving your average party 20/40 players way too much respect. You're opponent is more likely to call all the way down with AQ and AK than not. So you must bet for value. He could also be capping with garbage like 98s, 55, ATs, who knows. Against a good player its true you want a more passive line. I like the idea of just calling down and betting if its checked to you. But assume your opponents are bad until they prove otherwise.

McNasty has a point. The 14% PFR means he is 3betting when he should fold, and is also likely capping when he should call. 98 isn't unimaginable here. Neither is A9. McNasty is correct that AK/AQ will pay off here. The donk bet on the turn says says "I think I was ahead on the flop, but your draws may have been enough to put YOU ahead. You're not getting a free card." He could do that with TT-AA, A9, T9, 89. I do think that QQ/KK is the most likely holding, but you'll see JJ+ < 45% of the time.

Yeah, I think my line isn't that bad, until the river though, I think if I had played it the same, but checked behind on the river, then I would feel fine, when he turned over QQ.
