The flop is interesting to me. Given BB was the pre-flop aggressor it offers us the opportunity to protect or build a huge pot. This is a fairly draw heavy board and I think I would have lead the flop and let him raise to face the field with two cold. Flush draws still have odds to call but it makes it incorrect for gutshots to call. We can also 3-bet for value and charge any flush draws as much as possible to chase.

Yes, I think every street can generate some good discussion.

On the flop, I really don't think if I had led and the BB had raised that any flush draw would be folding. Since that's the case, I wanted to insure that I could get as many people as possible to put in at least 2 SBs. So, I went for the check-raise.

If I got to the river heads up with the turn-raiser, I most likely would have called his river bet. It was UTG+1's overcall on the turn that really scared me.
One of them might have a draw, but both of them???

If either of them have a made hand, it's a hand that beats me. The only possible "made" hand I can think of that I beat is JQ.

so youre convinced you wont win 1/17 times in this spot? jeeeeesus thats quite presumptious of you. the possibility that he might have jq is more than enough to call here for me.

Folding this river is on average an error on the scale of 10+ BB. That's five hours of work down the drain.

I agree it's a horrible fold and everything, but 10+BB? You think he's winning this hand over half the time?

Why didn't you bet the flop? It's fairly draw heavy and if someone raises, so be it, bet the flop and 3-bet...

Check-fold the turn.

I'd probably call for one bet on the river..the pot is giving you too much not to call even if your beaten. All you need to do it win 1 of 7 to show a profit.

I'll throw in my $.02 and agree: bad fold. The discussion on this idea in SSH is excellent, and worth a read, Johnnycakes.

And I'd have bet/3bet the flop.

But I am not so sure about the turn betting. When the 3rd [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] fell, I might have gone to c/c on both turn and river. Apparently this is pretty weak-tight, so I'd sure like some discussion on the thinking for bet/3bet on the turn and a bet on the river.

Is the play just to forget about the flush possibility since Button didn't raise the flop? The way he came to life, I wondered if he didn't have 99.
