A2s - This hand confused me

Villian is a LA-P. The flop bet was an accident, but I don't think it's terrible.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
1 fold, MP calls, 2 folds, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (3 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, BB folds, MP raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (3.50 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP checks.

River: (3.50 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)

Wtf is w/ that river raise? Is my river bet good against a likely draw? Am I better off check/calling there?

dont bet the river. checkfold. checkcall is > bet btw.

Yea, I agree 100%. My river bet blows.

I've been off playing for about 2 weeks, I'm a little rusty.

edit: Why is check/fold better than check/call? You don't think he bluff-bets here with a flush draw here alot?

This hand confuses me too. Do you have A2 or A4?

I check-fold A2 on river and check-call A4.
