Default pp step 5 99 in small blind

Just wanted to get some analysis and advice on a hand I had on the step 5 today. Sorry I don't know how to post the hand so I'll short hand it.
Ten players blinds 50 level 3
all fold to small blind:
Hero 1250 chips
Villan 1235 in Big blind

Hero has 99 and raises to 150
big blind calls
pot 300
flop 2 6 10
hero bets 200 big blind calls
turn 10
Hero?

tricky hand... do you have any information on the villain? who was it?

If the player is a predictable non tricky one then you are probably beat and should check fold. I think checking is the best option here either way, I would then make my decision whether or not to call on the bet size and on the opponent. If it was checked behind I would bet the river about 300 unless the board paired again.

Here I likely check raise, the raise being 1.5 x his bet. No harm if it gets checked through really... If he calls or pushes then I shut down or fold, respectively - he's got the hand I'm trying to represent!
