Default Ultra deep stacks (no content)

Working on a paper, decided to sit at the UB no cap .01/.02 NL game. Bought in for my full UB roll of about $160. Directly to my right is a gentleman sitting behind three quarters of a million BBs. He appears to be playing erratically and pushing that whole amount pretty much every other hand.

He asks me if my buy-in is my full bankroll. I say that it is. He asks, "Would you like to flip coins for your entire bankroll?" We go on in this fashion, him talking about how much money he has and how insignificant my bankroll is, me trying desperately to get him to move in more and waiting for a premium hand.

Eventually, I pick up QQ, the maniac pushes, and I instacall and drag a 15,000 BB pot. The maniac says, "Bobbo, did you just jizz your pants? I'm going to make you a rich man tonight." At this point, I make a terrible error and point out that $15,000 doesn't really make someone rich. He left the next orbit, possibly because of what I said... tragic.

Funny thing is, you're almost destined to go broke even if you always call as a 70% favorite (which is tough to do!). The best thing to do would be to win once and then re-sit with the original amount.

If only I got fewer old men to say that and more younger girls, I'd be a happier person.

I ran into this situation once. I 5/10 player was pushing every hand at NL10. At the time, I had about $120 or so in my roll. I doubled up and then some, only to lose my 3 buyin stack with KQs to some trash hand. I would have left and bought in for less, but rules prevent this and there was a huge waiting list for the table.

No way. I wasn't leaving that table until one of us was busted. $300 is a sizeable amount of poker money (for me at least), but it's not really so much that the new money is worth marginally less than the money i'd be losing. Let it ride baby!

That's what I'm saying, if you were to play until one of you broke and you ALWAYS got your money in as a 70/30 favorite you would have around a 90% chance to go broke, and that doesn't even take in to consideration the blinds that you'd lose by folding until you got a hand that was 70/30.

Hmm. I think we went over something like this in Mid/High recently, or somewhere else. Anyway, it's a big debate in the Probability forum, and the best way to play it is to go until one of you is busted. That's the best EV; although you go broke a large majority of the time, you make the most Sklansky bucks by keeping the money on the table.

I tried paying my electric bill with Sklansy bucks once. It didn't work. They don't take them at my local grocery store either.

You shouldt had played KQs for your whole stack in this situation.
