Default The Bar Stool Pundits return, week 8

Our results so far: 1-13-1.

Sorry for the absence last week. I'm ready to continue the streak! But be warned: be ready for some regression to the mean any week now. 1-13-1 is simply insane and impossible to keep up. The BSPs are bound to pick up a few soon.

Here we go.

Oakland at Tennessee Tennessee is a terrible, terrible team who just lost to Arizona of all things. Oakland just pimp-slapped Buffalo all up and down the field during the Lamont Jordan Show. Tennesee has no chance. Yahoo Experts unanimously pick Oakland to win at Tennessee. You know how great Oakland plays on the road...

Jacksonville at St. Louis St. Louis loses their coach and their QB and their best defensive lineman and their #1 receiver. Should be no problem. BSPs are all over Jacksonville right now. 3/4 Yahoo Experts love it.

Pittsburgh vs. Baltimore I am more sick to my stomach over this one than I was for the Indy/SF game. I cannot believe I"m clicking "Confirm Bet" on Baltimore... my god.

As always, good luck gentlemen, whichever side you take.
I'll be on:

Tennessee +1.5
St. Louis +3.5
Baltimore +10

I'd go with you but I have a nasty habit of ending awesome streaks like yours.

Ugly, Ugly, Ugly. I like it

What about taking Tennessee with the money line instead of getting 1.5 points?

One of the 13 losses came by taking Carolina laying 1.5 on Detroit. I couldn't believe it. I'll stick with taking the points but yeah, I expect the moneyline has some value there too.

Are you kidding? Oakland is going to KILL Tennessee. I have already unloaded my bankroll of $6.72 and two food stamps on Oakland. This is the biggest lock in the history of sports betting.

Hard to believe BSP's going with Oakland. They suffered two huge injuries on defense and have won 2 games on the road in the last 2 seasons.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I would not be remotely surprised to see the Titans win outright.
The other two sure do look ugly though.

Honestly, I will be more surprised if Oakland wins.

Bodog has had Baltimore at +10.5 (-105) for the past 24 hours or so. Thats a very nice line compared to +10 / -110. I've got two units on it at that line.
