KQo - Difficult Decision - Late In Tourney
I think I'm 2nd in chips right now. About 20 or so left. Stars $10+$1 MTT. Opponent isn't noticeably good or bad. Standard. Not too aggressive.

Re: KQo - Difficult Decision - Late In Tourney
honestly, Im gonna have to say, pick a better spot later. I might just be weaktight, but A)the most likely king-holdings have you beat here (AK, KJ) and B) with the lethargic speed of play at this level, you'll get another shot.
oh, and to quote HOH, he's betting into multiple opponents, so this makes a bluff less likely. he could have JA, but I think the only way to find out is a raise, and there goes a large chunk of your stack. |

Re: KQo - Difficult Decision - Late In Tourney
I really would have folded PF since with a PF raise and a call there's a large chance you're dominated.
I may call here and see what develops on the turn. |

Re: KQo - Difficult Decision - Late In Tourney
What happend to MP1 ? did he check behind bb?
Mp2 didnt reraise Mp1 so I wouldnt immideately credit him with a strong holding Range : AQ-T KQ-T,QJ-T, JT, 99-44, maybe T9,98 s, Axs maybe But when U decided to play this hand after a raise and a limp u should right away ask yourself what kind a flopp U are asking for and How agressively U wish to involve yourself. What kind a flopps are good? any trips ofcourse, lone K?, two pairs, OESD Cant hope to flopp the nuts right It is a difficult hand to play, high cards gives u str8 draws or 1 pair with backdoors or gutshot-but might have given someone a set, two pairs might have given someone else a str8 draw or set etc etc , without reads on raisers and limpers play? What would u do if the flopp came all rags? any twosuited is of consern in a multiwaypot too U are looking at a pot of already t13K, any furter involment will probably cost u 1/2 pot or more. This u should have thought of before entering the pot.I would raise this preflopp the same amount I would be willing to invest in a flopp I like, 12K or so or fold(readependent) There are two people to act and if I am right; mp1 the raiser is there too, a check from him should provoke some thought. Fold or raise dependent on your feeling, if this is the flopp u wanted bet it! And be ready to bust knowing u acted on a hand just like u thought right, or win big cause agression is good. |

Re: KQo - Difficult Decision - Late In Tourney
People don't seem to notice that MP1 is all in. (presumably a 100 ante?)
I don't think you can call the flop bet. He's got to show it anyway, and I can't see why he would bet that much into you unless he was willing to go all the way with it. I'd guess he has KJ. (If I had one guess.) On another note, a really aggressive big-stack play you might make is to reraise PF to isolate the all-in (with that size stack he could have basically anything), and pick up the dead money from MP2 to improve your pot odds. |

Re: KQo - Difficult Decision - Late In Tourney
Why would he bet that flop with nothing? Notice he was first player to call PF so it's not like he was getting priced in with something like KT or K9. . . I'd fold no need to tango with another large stack without a good hand.
Also, as you've heard you can re raise PF and I think that's the best option. |
