The sticky bonus burn... (NO content)
Just did the golden palace sticky bonus.
Deposit $100, get $300(that you can never withdraw) Played it like I should(?) Bet all $400 on one hand. As the odds would have it I lost. Not a brutal hit to the bankroll, but I prepared myself for it. Sucks, but its no biggie. Anyone got anymore stickys similiar to this bonus (I dont expect to see a 300%, but a 150-200% would be nice) Preferably I would like to hear from someone who has done the bonus (win or lose I dont care). Thanks again all. |

Your RoR was insane. [/ QUOTE ] So what? It was only slightly below a 50/50 chance and he bet $100 with a chance to win $400. EV+++++++++++++ |

Still never bet more than half on one hand as not being able to double does cut in your EV.

[/ QUOTE ] What's the difference if you have 11 v D6 with $200, and you can now double, or you put all $400 in and hit the same hand, but just hit now ... ? I know there is likely technically a difference, but the end result is not different is it? (You could just put $400 more in and double with that!) |

Re: The sticky bonus burn... (NO content)
Don't forget about splitting. Part of the reason the house advantage is so low in BJ is the ability to split and double. While you are correct with doubling your 11 vs having everything on it, you cannot split, which can be a big bummer some times.
And to the original poster, I have played a bunch of these stickys and have found that betting somewhere between 25-50 dollars a hand until I reach the WR and then reevaluating has been the best strategy for me. I have heard 3 startegies: 1. Bet all first hand 2. Bet 1/5 of chips every hand 3. Bet 25-50 per hand |

[/ QUOTE ] Simple. $400 bet, can't double up: You have 16 vs Dealer A - Probably lose all You have 11 vs Dealer 6 - Probably win all $200 bet, can double or split: You have 16 vs Dealer A - Probably lose $200 You have 11 vs Dealer 6 - Probably win $400 |
