Andy B's advice on that stud high hand is "nut's on", but card catching is even more important in stud/8. A good player can take (3,4)5 and turn it into a hogger, while a less experienced player gets squeezed on 5th and 6th, then folds (3,4) 5,2,9,9 (J) on the river.
Players should spend less effort memorizing dead cards and calculating pot odds, and concentrate on their card catching skills. |
