Any good NL games (1/2, 2/5 range) in Harrisburg? I will be in town tonight and tomorrow night. Not familiar with the area. Staying at Days Inn on Front Street. Thanks.

I'm from Harrisburg (PA - judging from where you are staying) and there is not likly to be a game going, unless it's private at someone's house. Which is what I'm sure you're looking for.

Harrisburg blows. And people only want to go to the farm show.

You'd be better off asking if the room has wireless.

(let me know if you find a game though, my parents still liver there so I'm there 4-6 times/year.)

I am from a little south of Pittsburgh, and there is always a game going. House games, firehalls, clubs, etc. I thought it would be easy to find a game here. I work for the state so I am always out here (harrisburg) for trainings and meetings. Thanks for the info though!

Check the Home Poker forum, there might be some contacts there.

I think there's a poker site that gathers players around that area- can't remember what it's called. Search for "Harrisburg" or "harrisburg" in Home Poker, going back 6 months or so and see if it pops up.

I think Google might find it also, if you do Harrisburg PA poker

What area were you from? I was in the city, then West Shore, and grew up on the East Shore.

And we both ended up out in this area....

Camp Hill for elementary school myself (one or two years, IIRC) before moving over to the East Shore.

Funny how that works.

There are firehall MTT tourneys every friday night at 7:00. $25 buy-in, I believe the rake is $5. Always at least 100 people there, the most ever there when I played was 160ish. When they have more than 120 entered, they pay the top 18. I made 2 final table appearances appearances out of 5 times going there. 3rd place payed me $275, and 7th payed $150 I believe. They're only allowed by law to pay $500 to the winner, so it leads to a really flat payout structure. The tourneys alternate weeks between two firehalls, the Creekside Firehall in Camp Hill, and the Penbrook Firehall in Penbrook. You'll have to look up there phone numbers to find out which house it's at that week. All in all, they're pretty well run, and good fun. I stopped going because I make more money at Party with my limited poker time, and it's really frustrating to bust out after playing for 3 hours with no money to show for it.
