Default Good turn check or pussish?

Villain is 37/8/1.17. I've folded instantly to a couple of his checkraises before, also immediately folded to his donk bet into my preflop raise on a ragged paired flop 4 way. I saw him bluff bet the turn and river HU in the blinds in position sensing weakness, other than that he's leaned on the passive side.

Me likey. Since he called you, he either has an ace or a pocket pair. Checking avoids a c/r and can induce a value bet on the river. Check behind on the turn and call a river bet.

Now the trickier question is . . . what if he checks the river? Value bet? What if he c/r the river?

Plan was to bet and call a checkraise, I don't think something I beat would have the discipline to check it again, and he might suspect a river bet isn't going to work and a checkraise will often since I've folded to a couple of his before, then again he's probably not thinking. Plus I only have to be good 1 in 10 times.
