Why Jesse Jackson should burn in hell

At Rosa Park's funeral service, after eloquently speaking of Rosa's actions as a lone flame in a completely darkened room, a beacon of promise, Jesse immediately goes into a tirade against GW for giving homage to Rosa and then hiring Alito, much like he gave thanks to MLK with a wreath at his grave and then the next day giving a hit to affirmative action.

But yeah, at Rosa Park's funeral. Jesse should burn. That is all.

If what I have heard about Jackson's practices is true, he is nothing more than an extortionist on par with the Mafia and its protection rackets, only he threatens businesses with bad publicity instead of violence.

Personally, he is certainly on my list of People Who Would Benefit from a Severe Asskicking.

How dare he bring up cilvil rights political issues at Rosa Parks funeral service. That's almost as bad as bringing up political issues at Paul Wellstones's service.

Is the Alito nomination cosidered to be somehow a negative for the civil rights movement? I don't think Bush is anti civil rights, do you? I guess what I'm trying to say is that blasting Dubya at Rosa Parks funeral doesn't have much to do with the civil rights movement to me but I could be convinced otherwise. I suppose that Bush's stance regarding affirmative action or as they say in Europe "positive discrimination" could be considered anti civil rights. But I think Bush's position, "the soft bigotry of low expectations," could be construed as being positive regarding minorities in that they don't need special help because they're just as capable as anyone else. They may not have the schools they need but I think it's fair to say that Bush's position is let's fix the schools more or less. Compare federal outlays for education in the Bush administration with federal outlays in the Clinton administration and you'll see that with Bush there has been a substantial increase in education spending during the Bush administration. Federal outlays for education grew at about a 2% annualized rate during the Clinton administration. During the Bush administration federal outlays have grown at an 11% annualized rate. Perhaps one could argue that the money wasn't well spent but I think it's fair to say that there was a greater commitment during the Bush administration to improve the quality of education. Bush has put minorities in positions of power in his administration and I don't see too many people calling Bush a bigot. I'm not totally against affirmative action because I think there are situations where a seemingly fair process of hiring for example could be manipulated to discriminate.
