Default Ace-High Calling Station

One thing I have been trying to incorporate into my game since moving to 5/10 is holding on to Ace-high hands in certain situations. I feel like a calling station and am wondering if I should just raise the flop instead of trying to get showdown as cheaply as possible. Sometimes I feel like if I always autobet rag flops as the preflop raiser I am just begging to get re-raised.

CO Is a 57/11 that tried to river-bluff my my pocket queens with 4 high in an earlier pot and is short-stacked. Both blinds are slightly loose preflop (high 30s).
