Default what do you guys think of these chips?

wanted to buy a set of nexgens (and still might) but just got these in yesterday as a gift (ebay)...they are the standard 11.5g plastic chips, what do you guys think of the look, anyone else have experience with these?

Sorry, kitten, but in my book only their mother could love those chips.

Ditto to that. I don't like the edgespots on only two sides, the royal flush graphic is fugly, and the "Tournament Edition" screams cheap.

IMO, they look better than most of the 11.5 plastic variety. They actually look good. Do they stack well? Or have they not arrived yet? They sure as hell beat dice chips, and yours won't look like everyone else's on the block.

I think they look better than the 11.5g's... just because they're different. They look like they might stack better and not be as slick. I don't care for the graphic.

they arrived at home, but i am yet to get my hands on them at college cause i havent had the chance to pick them up yet.

your comment is exactly why i bought them, they sell for about the same price as shitty dice chips, yet are completely unique from every other cheap ebay set.

hopefully if all works well i will make these my tournament set ($100 in chips to start with $1/$2 blinds) and pick up a set of nexgens somewhere down the road

They certainly look better stacked than most other plastic chips.

Do you think so? Of course I respect your opinion, but I'm not a fan of small dots, dashes or diamonds around the edge of chips as a way to decorate them in addition to the edgespots.

Speaking of how the cheap plastic chips look stacked, I certainly agree that the plain ones (diamond, etc.) look awful stacked as it's just a bar of solid colour.

But a week or two back GrandGnu posted some pics of his home table setup with about 1000 chips stacked on the table, and I don't think I was the only one who thought the chips looked great. (The photo was not a closeup.) Someone commented on the nice-looking chips before GrandGnu revealed that they were just the usual dice chips, with the addition of some custom labels.

I thought this was interesting, and it reminded me that I actually like the way dice chips look in a stack. The hard part is just getting the slippery little bastards to stay in a stack.

So I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that if dice chips had a better texture, a recessed inlay with a custom label, and no "plinky" sound due to the insert, they'd be great.
