As another poster alluded to, I'm almost positive it's a custom-edge spot RT-Plastics chip.

The cool thing about RT Plastics chips is that there are wholesellers who buy a whole batch of them with the same designs and sell for cheap.

I think they are made by Bud Jones, hence the BJ mark. I think the WSOP chips are a better quality than the RT Plastics chips. The RT Plastics chips have a rounded edge, but these chips look pretty sharp. Also look at the Bud Jones, parent company website:

Either way, the WSOP chips are pretty cool.

Oops, my bad. The RT Plastics chips are used at Bay 101 at the least, so their quality must be pretty good.

Bud Jones are definitely a few notches above RT for sure, though.

OK, from what I understand the chips used during play of the WSOP events at the Horseshoe are Bud Jones. However, the chips used during the segments with the players, sitting down at a table talking to the camera are different chips and those are RTPlastics chips.

They are bud jones (that is what the bj is). They are owned by BGchips now. http://bgchips.com/

Yup, those chips used in the ESPN segments are RT Plastics. Looks like the fantasy chips from Gambler's General store.

What do you think happens with the WSOP tournament chips after the tournament? The chips have the year on them, so they can't use it again and I've never seen the tourney chips on ebay. They probably could be sold for a ton of $.

This may be a better question for Greg, but I think the winner gets to keep them. I know the event winner keeps the setup that was used at the Final Table.
