Default 5/10 6 Max - K9s

This is from memory.

Table is playing too tight preflop. I open with K9s from EP, only the BB calls.

BB is tight and has minraised me on the flop before after calling one of my raises in the BB.

Flop Q43, 2 spades
He checks, I bet $80. He calls after 2-3s.

Turn Js
He bets out $240. I have about $840 total, he has me covered.

Is it a simple allin or not? Just checking.

Am I crap?

JJ, I raise to 40. BB calls.

99x, 2 clubs.
He checks, I bet 80, he calls.

Turn Jc
He checks, I bet 200, he minraises.

He has 500 left, I have him covered. I push, he thinks for ages and folds.

Can someone please give me advice here as it seems I may be making some fundamental mistakes and not getting paid off because of this. I guess I'm too used to people throwing their money at me on Party

Comments?

I really, really don't know.

I guess my muddled thoughts were if he has the 9 then a river club might kill the action. And if he has the flush already then he'll play.

But to be honest, its very poor isn't it? I'm getting carried away and rushing the money in with big hands.

Am I right in saying the 2nd hand is a lot, lot worse than the first?

This is a tricky situation. If you move all-in, you look very strong and may push away someone playing an OP (which is what I think he has, that or A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Kx), so I think you call his bet and take your chances on the river. From the way he's played his hand, I think you are probably up against someone with an 8-outer.

On this hand, I think the push is inappropriate as well. If he is calling you pre-flop, the only hand that he has you beat with is QQ (unless he plays passively). I think you should just call and try to get your chips in the middle on the river. However, I'm probably just being results oriented. In future posts, please don't show results, they really affect my decisions, sorry.

Is this online? If so, where do you play 5/10 6max?

LOL nono.

I'm just looking to move up from Party's 2/4 nl 6max and didn't know which other sites offered bigger 6max nl games.
