Least Favorite (Unknown) Baseball Players
Another thread inspired this question, and two immediately came to mind. I'm sure all Mariner fans will remember:
1) Bobby Ayala 2) Pete O'Brien Good Lord, I hated them. |

Re: Least Favorite (Unknown) Baseball Players
Why do you hate Pete O'Brien? I don't really remember him making a huge impression one way or the other. I really hated Bobby Ayala obviously.
I hated Felix Fermin because he was a big piece of crap and we traded Omar for him. I also hated Heathcliff Slocumb because he was a big piece of crap and we traded Varitek and Lowe for him. What a disgusting trade. What a piece of crap. I really liked Jim Leyritz, contrary to most M's fans. He was a hard nosed mofo and I bet if he was on your team he was a joy to root for. Probably was a great teammate too. Just because he hit clutch jacks against us and mixed it up isn't reason to hate him. Schaefer |

Re: Least Favorite (Unknown) Baseball Players
Glenn Hubbard and Bob Horner, actually probably the entire late 80's Atlanta Braves roster. With TBS being the only source for baseball for much of my youth I was subjected to their utter crappiness on a dailey basis.

Re: Least Favorite (Unknown) Baseball Players
5 or 6 years ago, I can't remember exactly when, Red Sox fans were forced to watch Craig Grabeck. (I may be spelling that wrong.) I swear, he was actually hitting .089 after 2 monhts, and Jimy Williams kept sticking him in there, even though it was obvious he was hopeless.
I remember they were rallying back and trying to post a big come from behind win, and they had the bases loaded in the 9th with two outs. Grabeck comes up and Jimy Williams leaves him in, and the entire city goes nuts, because they know that ANYBODY has a better chance of getting a hit than him. Of course, he grounded out weakly, and that was that. If people didn't hate Jimy Williams before that game, they sure did afterwards. |
