...and if regular opium was so great, Big Brother would have closed this little loophole a long time ago.

It's probably just a matter of time before my opium refining skills expand into successful thebaine extractions and oxy manufacture (or alternatively, levorphanol synthesis)... but that's highly advanced stuff, and I have no formal education of any kind to fall back on. Hell, I don't even have a regular high school education to fall back on. Just a ton of religious bullsh*t which can serve me no practical purpose of any kind.

Don't worry, this loophole will be closed within the next few years. ('For the children', of course).

You can't just crush dried poppy heads and smoke them like MJ. Knowledge is required, and the opium the dried heads contain has to be extracted through a skilled refining process.

Technically, dried pods are sold for 'ornamental purposes only'.
