What do people think of capping the flop? You might scare a non-nut flush into not betting or raising again, and you certainly don't want this going to 3 bets on the turn.

You're not scaring anyone into slowing down at 10/20.

Hm, good point, didn't see that it was at 10/20.

Would capping the flop be reasonable at 1/2 or 2/4?

Edit: Given 1/2 and 2/4 are more passive, someone check-3-betting gives them a higher chance they have the nut flush, so maybe capping still isn't a good idea.

if we think the three opponents will call, this is a value raise. even if someone flopped the nut flush we have a significant equity edge here.

Don't mean to hijack, but someone save this thread and present it as evidence for a forum split of 10/20 and up.

Is there any petition for this split up that can be signed?

It has been approved already by Mat Sklansky, now we're just waiting on a response from Chuck, who can apply the decisions. He's really busy so it may take a bit.

I think this is not a good fold, and I think the flop cap by the button is the reason.

The flop cap is great. He's two to one to hit his boat, and that's if he's drawing.

This pot is too big to fold for 1 bet on the river.
