Remember, if he were any good, he'd have a full stack.

This is not true. There are plenty of strategical advantages to having a short stack, and I've seen many good winning players play high stakes NL w/ min buyins.

maybe, but they should all die horrible deaths anyways.

Matt Flynn often buys short, apparently.

Playing short stacked probably has its own advantages.

Instead of bashing the short stacks, you should learn to adapt your play when you find one on your table. Nobody likes short stacks, but its a different kind of challenge/adjustment(just like you would adjust to a Maniac or fish at your table).

playing a large stack is a dominated strategy.

The only problem with min buy-ins is that they also maximize the rake relative to played pot size.

I like 50BB, it's my confort zone...

It's true to the extent that to maximize your BB/100, assuming you are a winning player with 100BB stacks, you would reload every time your stack fell below the max.

I find your post so typical. If you take 100 NL players and 100 Limit players, I guarantee the majority of NL players will say NL is the more difficult/challenging/skill intensive/etc. game, while the majority of Limit players will defend limit. Similarly, you seem to be defending tourney players.

I'm not defending them at all. If anything I'm saying the opposite.

I agree that an EXPERT (not that I did not use the word "winning") player will earn more with deeper stacks, but a player with solid preflop standards and not much else will do better playing a short stack because of the ability to get all-in easier.

Also in aggressive games like the UB 50/100, there is a lot to be said for buying in short to counter act the hyper-aggressive, but overall skilled play in that game.

If you think my opinion comes frmo being a tourney player, you are 100% wrong.

I 3 bet and push it in on flop, lots of draws possible, and if I do call a raise looking for a safe turn, I push at him not allowing a free card, and if I do ck this turn, and he bets the $300, I put him in just like you did.

Playing short is a skill which most people who buy in short dont have
They generally suck. Then again most players suck.
