I voted Bic, but it's gotta be the regular ones, not the ones with the grip. The ones with the grip are awful: the lines are too fine, the ink is too light (a problem in my field, which is editing) and they occasionally come apart when you pull the cap off.

We only have the grip ones at work, and I got fed up with them and went to Staples to get the regular ones, only they were out. So I bought some of the Papermates. THe lines and ink are a major improvement, but they die far too easily.

Wow. Bic and Papermate are imo one of the worst pen brands you can buy. Spend a little bit more and you can buy Pilot, Sanford, or Uniballs. But if I had to choose, it would be Bic.
