Propping in AZ card rooms
I'm considering moving back to AZ in the near future and was thinking of propping part time (or full time depending on the pay and levells they want me to prop). Anyone know if any of the casino's in the Metro PHX area use or employ props? IF so which ones? Thanks in advance!

Re: Propping in AZ card rooms
Fort McDowell has props. It is full time only, and dont quote me, but I think it is $18/hr. They spread 3/6 to 6/12 LHE that gets proped, 4/8 O8 and 7S h/l.
CA has them as well, but there are only a few left and are refered to as "hosts" now. As far as I know they are not prop'ing anything less than the 20 game thru the 75 game. I have no idea what the rate is there. From the impression I get at CA, they are an endangered species. Considering that there was not an open table at 2:30am last "night" (Saturday night), I doubt they are in desperate need. As for the other rooms in town, I would be very surprised if they did not have several working, afterall CA is eating all the players up, so I am sure there is a need. |

I looked into this at the Fort. Rate was 5.15-$6 per hour. You play fulltime and have no game selection. CA is much more profitable even without propping. |

I was told by a couple of the dealers there that they thought the rate was 18/hr, and that is why I qualified that I was not sure of that rate. |
