Default Other Poker Forums?

Does anyone know of any other good poker forums that might be valuable in addition to 2+2?

Oh surely we can all get along. (I know, I know, don't call you shirly.)

It does seem funny though, that often the reason someone or some institution doesn't want you to know about alternatives is because they fear those alternatives. They fear that if you have knowledge of alternatives, you might use that knowledge to make your own choices, and you might choose the alternative.

The strong smart one however, does not fear the alternatives and not only does not fear knowledge but encourages it, for with knowledge good decisions can be made. And the strong one is confident that the right decison will be made. (And if the alternative is chosen then the strong smart one will know that changes have to be made.)

Of course, I don't know of any other poker forums because I've haven't seen them mentioned here, (but then again I've got no reason, right now anyway, to go looking as people here have been amazingly generous with their time and experience and knowledge, and what they've passed on has been of incredible value.)

Well said, excellent post.

I supposed if you wanted to get some advice from some $1/2 rocks you could go to BW or pokersourceoline...

When I first found 2+2 I also looked at some alternatives like RGP and a few random forums I Google'd for. None of them had the quality of these forums, despite the the annoying UBB threads forums instead of vBulletin or phpBB.

2+2 has the highest quality by far, with that said I often visit www.recpoker.com which provides a very nice interface to post on the rec.gambling.poker newsgroup.

Just recently I discoverd Cardplayer.com's forum, not bad either but again not nearly at the level of 2+2. ;-)

Matthew Hilger's InternetTexasHoldem.com is pretty good. I definitely think 2+2 is the best, though.
