Fold for one more bet with rivered bottom pair in big pot? Part 2
Party 5/10, no reads. I'm dealt A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in the BB. UTG, EP, LP all limp, and I check. 4 to the Flop, 4sb.
Flop: K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I lead, UTG and EP call, LP raises, I 3-bet, UTG calls, EP folds, LP calls. 3 to the Turn, 7bb. Turn: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I check, and it's checked through. 3 to the River, 7bb. River: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I check, UTG bets, LP folds, I...? I'm not too sure about my Turn check either. It telegraphs my hand, but it's not like these goons are paying attention anyways. It feels awkward to 3-bet and then check, but betting didn't seem like it'd do much for me. Unless my opponents hands were perfect, it wouldn't be for value, I didn't think it would help to clear up my outs, and I didn't think there was any chance that a bet would take it right there. And, by checking, I will sometimes get a free card, as I did here. -Brian |

Re: Fold for one more bet with rivered bottom pair in big pot? Part 2
He can be pretty sure that both of you have little and therefore often will fold to the riverbet, when all draws missed.
I think that he will have QJ and will bet, either cuz he is an aggro bluffing kind of guy or cuz he is thinking and have read your hands correctly more than 1/9, so I call. Maybe I win, maybe I lose, but hopefully I will lose less than 8/9 of the time. |

I think you will win this hand 1-10 times to a missed flush draw or straight draw. What hands containing a K or 10 would he check the turn through? Just call.

Trix nailed it. He had QJd, and my 4's held up.
