Default JJ in SB with TA overplayer, comments on line please...

Villain is a tight aggressive overplayer 15.5/12/4.5 with WSD% around 50%.

How's my line here? In retrospect, should I have taken up WA/WB? Set of jacks is a pretty strong hand...

Cap the turn and probably go 4 bets on the river as well. Only exactly KK beats you here, and he didn't even cap preflop which pretty much eliminates the possibility of him having KK.

that is a WAAAAA/wb situation. you are usually soooo far ahead, it is entirely worth capping this turn even if he has KK this time for the times you'll cap and he'll have AA, 2 pair, AK, or a smaller set.

I'm just a rookie, but with the two flush on the flop I wouldn't slowplay. Also with the type of villian we have here, I think you would have seen a cap preflop if he had KK, so I guess I would press Bet/Raise all the way unless a third diamond fell.
Villian showed KJs?

if you're not 3-betting the flop you'd better be prepared to cap the turn. you should have at least c/r'd the river. or something. you put in way way way too little money in this pot. PARTICULARLY given your read. if someone is far too aggressive postflop you can't bet your marginal hands fast, it plays right into them. when you hit a monster you've got to charge.

i wonder though... how many hands have you had with this guy?

First of all, you're ahead here like 99% of the time. The only hand beating you is KK, and an aggressive player like this would cap KK almost always.

Given the possible draws on the flop I would 3-bet and lead the turn. It would suck to have the turn checked through. If he raises me on the turn again I 3-bet, and if he caps, I would c/r the river.

3-bet the flop and lead the turn if he caps. If this guy overplays everything and always sees a SD with a good hand he'll pay you off big time with AK.

You need to put in a lot more bets. If you're going to call the flop I'd lead the turn again hoping to cap, or 3-bet the flop and hope to go lots of bets from there.

This one was one of those times where I got a "good" outcome with bad play. He had KK. However, you guys are all very right that I played it like [censored] so thanks for the reinforcement...
