Online 40 80. Villian for this hand is an excellent player, big winner in the game. Slightly overaggro at times.

Fish limps, hero raises in MP with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], very strong but slightly overaggro in the next seat 3-bets. All fold to the fish who calls. Hero caps (because of the fish), 3 to the flop.

Flop K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Fish checks, hero bets, villain raises, fish folds. Hero calls, planning to lead a safe turn.

Right? Too tight?

If you lead a safe turn, what do you do if raised?

What is your hand range for the villain?

Villain AA-99, AK, AQ, occasionally other hands.

If raised I will call down because villain would probably raise me with AK and pot is large.

Think about the hands a good thinking player raises on this flop with that preflop action. You split with AK and are behind almost everything else. I can't imagine he pops the flop with JJ/TT here. So, that said, i would get to showdown as cheaply as possible, and check call down.

I prefer check/calling down from the turn onwards.

So you are behind AA, KK, QQ, 99.

You are ahead of JJ, TT (and if he's a good player why he is raising the flop with TT here? free card?)

Anyway I think you are very likely to be behind here. I check-call down on the turn. If he checks behind maybe you can bet a safe river since that may indicate JJ/TT.
