i'd actually never thought about that, but the guy who invented omaha was a half arab farmer from nebraska. i forget the details, but i think his father immigrated from jerusalem in the mid 19th century. the son's name was Justin Abbad. I know his great grandson was in the Fatah movement in the 60's right around the time the PLO was formed. I'd seriously never put two and two together until i read this, but that is really weird.
