Collective Wisdom
The world is staggering and lurching along towards its remorseless doom. I am too busy, at the moment, to calculate the date at which the world will end. Given the collective wisdom of all the posters on this forum, I would like to ask a favor. Get together and calculate the date when the curtain falls; I have a few bets to place and investments to make.
Thank You. -Zeitgeist |

Re: Collective Wisdom
I see no end. Progress is winning in the long run.
P.S. Bush43 is just a downswing. Variance sucks but don't let it demoralize you. |

Then you don't look close enough.

Re: Collective Wisdom
Bah! Global climate change is a myth foisted upon the ignorant masses by (shudder) liberals. Technology will save us all (but only after we've squeezed (squozen?) every last cent of profit from fossil fuels).

Re: Collective Wisdom
Besides if the climate goes to hell we always can wear those bright metallic silver jump suits like the movies in the future. If there is one thing that the movies have taught me it is that in the future our clothing will all be the same.

[ QUOTE ]
What do I win? [/ QUOTE ] A Greatest Hits CD: Louis Armstrong, put out by RCA Victor. Enjoyable songs like Sugar, St. Louis Blues, Basin Street Blues, and What a Wonderful World. Recordings are from 1933 to 1970. In addition, jars of homemade (by my Sister) huckleberry jelly. Made from all hand picked berries growing wild. Excellent stuff. -Zeno |

Re: Collective Wisdom
I can't wait for that day. I spend a lot of time in the morning selecting the perfect outfit. How do I feel today? Having a single choice of attire will release me from the burden of expressing the many moods, the many shades, the many sides of ripdog.

Re: Collective Wisdom
The world ended the day the friggin BoSox won the World Series. Everything since then has just been a bad dream. Sorry to have to be the one who told you.
