Default Question regarding time of day and players

Just a quick question... is there a general theory about night-time players being looser/tighter and day-time players being the opposite? I'm sure it's been discussed before but I was curious to see what the general theory is. Thanks in advance.

there used to be much softer games at night, but after multitabling took off, i'm not sure if thats true anymore. it seems like a lot of tags play at night now.

This is not an answer to your question but I used to think about this quite a bit as well. Then I decided that I wasn't going to plan my playing time around when the fish were at the tables (of course, if you are a pro I suppose you would care about this more). Now when I decide to play I just open up as many tables as possible, let PT and PAHud get at least 20 observed hands in per table, pick the fishiest tables and play there. This far from perfect but I find it very helpful.

As a semi-answer to your question, with the growth of poker in Europe and Australia time distinctions are becoming more blurred, so, it's alwway the wee hours somewhere and primetime somewhere else.
