Default 75-150 River Spot

75 stud hand from awhile back at Taj (Carlos was at the table, but not in the hand...and I don't think he knew who I was). Anyway...

I start with (K,K) 3 up and am the bring in. Asian guy with a Jack completes, tilted rich guy with an 8 up coldcalls, I 3 bet and they both call. Anyway...I drove the whole hand with asian guy and rich guy calling. On 6th street, I caught a King. Asian guy's board is non threatening. I bet, asian guy folds, rich guy raises. I see he caught a 3rd heart on 6th and hearts were totally live. Arg. Had to be there, but I knew he made the flush.

So on the river...your option is to check blind, look and bet if u have a boat but check if you don't, look and check no matter what or smoke bet the end. What's your take?

Jeff

i have no idea what you are talking about with smoke bets and stuff. the right play is to check raise if you fill up and fold or call depending on the player if you dont

When you raised third street, you made it two bets, not three.

I like to bet the river when I fill, as that gives me the best chance to get in three bets. Your opponent sounds like a good candidate.

I never check or bet in the dark, because I'm afraid I'd give away too much information in situations where I fail to act in the dark.

I'd think tilted rich guys at this level would be quite able to bluff, so I'd check-call if I didn't fill and check-raise if I did.

Default Hello,Jeffage! If U believe he has a flush,then..

check/fold UR set if U don't fill by 7th.
If U fill and U believe UR OPPO. will raise if U bet, then bet . If U bet but U think UR OPPO. will just call, but bet if U check, then check. He will call UR raise with his flush.

Just to clarify, I definitely check in both scenarios because I want to get a bet if he is bluffing.

I looked, saw I boated and checked. My opponent says, "Maybe you missed one time" and bets, I toss out three blacks and he throws an absolute fit. "Motherf**cker I can't believe this" for maybe three minutes before finally paying off. I took in a huge pot. He then pitched his hards at the dealers rack hard and had to be calmed down by his friends so he didn't get tossed. It was quite the scene. But I enjoyed the christmas pile that got shoved my way.
