Approximately 30-40 minutes. It is located in Shakopee which is on the south west side. If you know where the Mall of America is, it is about 15-20 minutes from there.

Of course, since the Twin Cities is constantly tearing up their roads, it may take longer.

The easiest way may be to take 62 west to 169. 169 South to Canterbury.

The 3 biggest holdem games are 8/16, 15/30 and 30/60. I have never seen anything higher, 30/60 may be the highest they can legally spread.

From personal experience 8/16 is juicy and 15/30 is good. This is weeknights. I dont know how the fall classic affects the quality of the games though. It is hard to imagine they would be tougher during a big tourney.

Peace,

By "juicy" for the 8/16, he means possibly the craziest game in the poker world. Family capped pots all the time. And by "good"15/30, he means very very good. Wonderful mix of super loose passives and crazy LAGs. The 30/60 is usually good as well but it can range from OK to unbelievable.

Canterbury is also having its fall poker classic. If you’re looking for some interesting tournament action with a decent structure, this is the month for it.

Despite the lack of NL ring games, it's a great place to play.

CP games are usually quite good. They do feature a lot of regulars, who are not necessarily good players, but generally a far cry from the Las Vegas table populated with 3 or 4 drunk and stupid players who have no clue.

The 15/30 can play very tight or just like a 3/6, but with red instead of blue.

The 8/16 tends to feature a lot of LAGs who like to gambooool it up.

30/60 (from what I hear, I suck too much for 30/60) varies, depending on whether the cast of regulars is joined by a couple of rich idiots who also like to gamboool. A dealer was telling me last night that he had just been yelled at by a 30/60 player for forgetting to remind him it was his straddle.

Bottom line, the card room is very well run, and the players fairly good as compared to a more touristy location, but the games are still very beatable.

There, I'm a Carpal.

Driving time is variable. I live in the heart of Minneapolis and it takes me 25 minutes to get to CP most of the time if I go during non rush hours. If you are coming from MPLS, go 35W South to 62W to 169S, then get off at Canterbury Drive (or street or whatever it is).

If coming from Bloomington and the Mall of America area, go 494W to 169S. From the mall I'd say it's more like a 12-15 minute drive during non rush hours.
