One example of mental lapse and slight unluckiesness from WSOP main event. Had 40K after day 1 maintained my stack at a tight table with a blind steal or two a round. Had recently limped a few times with pocket pairs picked up KK. Limped with it. Flop was 8 5 3. I bet get checkraised by tight small blind. next card is 5. Fold to small bet from small blind. should have probably raised preflop because i did want to play a big pot post flop with an overpair anyway. down to 30K rebuild my stack to 40K. blinds 400 - 800 25 ante. Make following slightly donkeyish play. Button raises I have AK suited reraise him all in he has about 25K. He calls quickly with 77. lose that. Next hand have KQ. Very aggressive button raises. I reraise all in. He thinks for a long time calls with A3. Lose that one and go from avg stack to out in 2 hands.
