if its for value then you must be betting a blank river again right?

Seems like you'd have to put him on exactly QJ or KJ to charge someone for a draw.

or KT QT.

I seriously think a major detriment of this forum is always putting their opponent on a draw.

Ya that too.

Those 4 combinations just seem like too small of a % of the overall calling hands he has on the flop to make an argument for betting the turn for value.

When the J comes on the turn I want to check behind hoping to suckout on a two pair, spike a 2 outer, or entice the opponent to bluff, not to mention to keep this pot somewhat manageable.

Only thing is, are you calling a bet on the river without improvement amoeba, and if so, how big?

that last question is highly opponent dependent.

typically I will call up to 2/3 pot.

I think the fold is good on the turn here.

How about betting full pot on the flop, and checking behind on the turn. Then there's 81 in the pot on the river, if he bets less than that you can call. Note, that there's probably no improving your hand, so don't get carried away if the river is an A.

are you putting villain squarely on KQ or 87?

an A wouldn't improve any hands except ours and I would not mind seeing a river 3 or 9 here.
