6.5:1... how close do you think this is against an unknown? put another way, what odds would be the cutoff for you to call?

I don't think there's anyway I call it here -- maybe 15:1?

Any legitimate Ace he could have called with beats you, and that's assuming he didn't already have a pair. KT/QT just doesn't call that flop bet, so unless you put your opponent squarely on KQ... I'm a bigger fan of checking the flop and betting the turn here.

And of course, fold pre-flop.

i put him on a flush draw 1/7th of the time. you're saying you wouldn't call if he bet $3 into the $33 pot?

I'm saying I may call $3, but not $6. I realize you're on the button, but I still don't play A8o, especially since it's not likely to get MP to fold, and it's only going to be better than a random hand 60% of time.

For the flush, what cards do you think he's playing? QT/T9 probably don't call the pre-flop raise, much less the flop bet; KQ/KT might. On the other hand, AK/AQ/AT(/A9/A4/A6/A2) all beat you; AJ/QJ/JT may have slowed played it too, hoping you'd raise the turn or river. Then there's any small/medium pocket pair, which would have played it the exact same way.

Against weak-tight or unknown, I'd probably fold.

LOL, I guess I don't -- or at least not well. Still don't play that though -- I have, but it's not usually good.

Glad it worked out for you.
