Default folding top pair

Villian is a liberal flop peeler and a calling station. He called down with middle pair once. Another time he caught a flush draw on the turn and only called and after completing it on the river, he checked raised.

I call down. He might have a lower ace, and think it is good. You are also getting 7:2 on your call down, and may have some hidden outs against an array of two pairs he could have.

this seems like a very obvious call down.

That sucks. I like the hidden outs point. A lower Ace, i thought, would either 1) raise preflop or 2) be intimidated by my pre-flop raise. I thought it unlikely that neither case would apply.

One point. just now, I raised preflop with A9s in the bb against a button limper. An ace floped and the button raised me. I checked raised the turn and he folded. Perhaps some players think that only a pp would raise in the bb and therefore raise when an ace flops.

This guy however seemed pretty passive. Like I mentioned before, he just called down middle pair previously. There was no flop check raise or anything like that. Another time he had the option of check raising a draw on the turn and chose to just call. And he wasn't winning more than his share of hands at the table. I didn't think him a likely candidate to be bluffing.

as a general rule, ppl do some fvcked up stuff u wouldnt expect in blind battles.
once u hit that ace, u need to show this A7 down. call the CR and call a river bet. raise the river if u hit a 7.

I don't like this fold. You have a pretty stong hand that deserves a showdown. I would just call down.

If you think this is noteworthy you haven't played much SH poker.

BTW I'll agree with everyone else that your fold is no good. You def need to call down.
