Default A3s Hand

No reads because I'm watching WSOP. I do appear to be "the action player" at the table FWIW.

Find a new adjective, dude.

I don't get the flop bet. Or the turn.

*grunch*

I can totally understand why they think you are the action player!

Why bet this flop? Why lead the turn after the raise and a turn card that can only hurt you?
Not mentioning the PF action as you wished, I'd C/F that ugly flop.

With a well developed read that this guy falls in love with his UI overs, I can understand this hand a little better. (I would raise this flop with a big [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] as the villain). In you position I'd c/c the river.

Unfortunately, you are sans-reads, so I'd have folded the flop.

Check fold on the flop.

Despite the pot size, I check-fold the flop against most players. We realistically need to cut our equity by 1/3 to account for the very good chance that someone in this size field has a flush card that they'll chase with. And our equity's not so sh!t hot in this field to begin with.

Is there a KKK hat in my avatar that I'm not aware of?
Because I swear "that 3 letter word" is posted on these forums every day and only I get blasted for it.
Lighten up Francis.

OK here's how much I was paying attention:
I 'forgot' about the PFR when I bet the flop - would that change your flop play at all?
With the PFR, the flop play might be questionable, but I don't think this is such a bad flop for A3. Given the pot size, is this really any less EV than a "protection C/R" from the BB with T6 on a 57T board in a small pot - which is a move that everybody seems to routinely love? IMO no, given that there are lots of non 2+2ers who aren't normally aggressive who raise these flops with a single big [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I could be wrong.

Given the way the flop played out, the turn is a must-bet though.

i didnt actually find preflop that meterosexual, i probably play it the same....

flop, i think you have to check/fold, reverse implied odds are huge here. if your gonna bet out, you have to lay it down when raised.

Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

Board: 9c 3c 2c
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 48.4848 % 48.48% 00.00% { Ah3h }
Hand 2: 51.5152 % 51.52% 00.00% { KcJd }

this is almost a best case scenario, and you still arent ahead... it gets worse with something like

Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

990 games 0.005 secs 198,000 games/sec

Board: 9c 3c 2c
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 14.0404 % 14.04% 00.00% { Ah3h }
Hand 2: 85.9596 % 85.96% 00.00% { Kc9h }

and even worse with

Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

990 games 0.005 secs 198,000 games/sec

Board: 9c 3c 2c
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 02.4242 % 02.42% 00.00% { Ah3h }
Hand 2: 97.5758 % 97.58% 00.00% { AcTc }

i guess the pot is decent sized, but thats only due to the amount of players in it, one of which has you beat here.

as for the river, i think you have to check/call there for bluff induction. if he was on ui overs with a club all hand he aint paying your bet off, but he might bluff at it hoping you were on the same.
