Default Imagine if a physical fight gets on camera at the ME

It's not out of the realm of possibility. Pros like Sam Grizzle and Phil Hellmuth "took it outside," so what's to stop two players from going at it at the table?

Assuming this happened and was filmed, does ESPN show the fisticuffs or do they never make it to the air? If they air it, does this help the games popularity or does it hurt it?

Give me a break. It's not like I am rooting for a fight. I was just curious what people thought as to the repercussions would be *IF* one happened.

Has it ever happened before?

They'll edit anything like that out I'm guesssing. the WSOP is one of their cash cows now and they don't want to hurt it, hence tilt gettin the axe.

Yeah, thats why Tilt got the axe, not because the show sucked.

I saw a pretty funny one at the Imperial Palace poker room. Pretty funny, and far more entertaining than the god awful poker going on in that awful room. The tables had purple felt with the words " TEXAS HOLD EM" embroided into them, as if no other game was allowed to be played on them haha. But long story short the two faught over some silly hand and the fight lasted a few minutes beofre security came.
I dont think the WSOP would ever air this kinda stuff, but it sure was funny in a dump like that.

Right, because fighting is a real negative in sports like, oh, say Hockey. And it isn't as if everybody sees footage of fights like Pistons/Pacers.

So true, if there was a fight it would be known in a second. They'd almost be forced to air it, at the time it happened. Which could lead to more people watching the ME on ESPN waiting for the fight to happen. I dont see it as a bad idea to show it. But...it's just not gonna happen(unless Darden's crew doesn't like how Hellmuth played his cards).

There was a fight at last years WSOP. IIRC, someone said someone else was wearing an "eggplant" running suit.
