Default QTo from BB

ok PP 3/6, no reads, UTG limps, folded to me in BB with QTo. I check.

Flop is AAT. I bet, UTG calls.

Turn blank. I check, UTG bets, I call.

River blank. I bet, UTG raises, I fold.

Thoughts?

Kind of a strange line.

I often like check-raising the flop since he'll bet a lot HU.

I guess you were inducing a bluff on the turn? I'd rather just bet, give overcards or a gutshot a chance to fold.

Given your strange line, he might raise the river with a T or something, but given the pot size, I think you can fold. I'd rather you just kept betting, if you wanted to induce a bluff, I'd do it on the river.

if you were inducing a bluff on the turn - may as well do it again on the river that way you see a showdown.

i don't like the fold at the end and the only way to avoid it after you check call the turn is to check call the river.

the value bet after the check call is what gets you in trouble here - he could be raising you with 99 on down at a 3/6 table trying to get you to lay something down. not enough information on the villian here either.

well the idea is that he would call but check behind with 77-99 but probably only raise an A. I don't have enough information on my opponent, so I'm just going with the fact that he limped UTG to suggest he's passive enough not to raise less than an A here. I'm not sure if this is a reasonable assumption.

I doubt it. I limp a fair number of hands (low pp's, medium suited aces, low suited broadways) UTG, and I raise with less than an A here against certain players.

I'd bet the turn too. I don't know why you shut down so quickly. You're just asking for him to take it away from you.

I also don't understand the turn check-call at all. If you were going to check-fold, I'd probably think it weak but it would be acceptable with a read.

I hate this hand a lot.
