My list, heavily tilted to the music of the last three years or so, since I didn't listen to much music before then. Also, I only took albums from this thread and albums I have in MP3, which limits things a bit

The lack of Failure's Fantastic Planet on any list saddens me.
Also, the lack of Built to Spill on any list (or maybe I missed it) also saddens me. Also, Dismemberment Plan. There are many more, but I'll just go with my top 3 somewhat obscure but not really obscure at all bands.
