Default About weakness

$22 rebuy. The rebuy period is over. Villain is a bad player, showed a strange combination of raises and folds. There's something of the weak-tight in him, but he also tries to be aggressive in wrong spots.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (9 handed) converter

Hero (t10350)
SB (t2250)
BB (t20580)
UTG (t7300)
UTG+1 (t13057)
MP1 (t10733)
MP2 (t27255)
MP3 (t7490)
CO (t5725)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises to t800</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, Hero calls t800, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>.

Flop: (t1900) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">MP1 bets t800</font>, Hero calls t800.

Turn: (t3500) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">MP1 bets t800</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to t2400</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises to t4000</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to t8750 (All-in) </font> MP1 folds.

Final Pot: t16250

Did I go too far here? From this betting pattern and previous hands I had a strong feeling he'll fold this, but still was somewhat surprised he DID fold...

Am I correct in seeing that you had A-high?

This is fine if you think that Villian will likely fold to your 4-bet, but very few Villians will...

Edit: I know that I for one am not going to put the third bet in here if I don't intend to call the fourth.

Well, that's why you're a 2+2... . I'm pretty sure you're not going to bet 800 on the turn as well.

i dunno... this is obviously very read-dependent. if you had posted it w/out the results i'd have called you a donk, as he's pricing you in nicely with your double-gutter

Edited: Argh, I suck at reading the board. Also, at poker. I'll just stick with being amazed that you found someone to lay down getting 4:1 after investing so much of his stack.

Edit 2: Am I weak-tight for thinking it's right to just call the turn bet, then letting him bluff into you on the river, because you're getting 5.375:1 with 6-11 outs?

take the card he's giving you on the turn, then make this play on the river if you think he's that weak tight.

This is a good line of course. However, I simply felt he's betting some scared missed hand that he won't be able to call a raise with, so why see another card? And when he reraised me like that, coming from this opponent, it felt like he's saying: "don't push me around...", but in a very weak way. I figured I can take it down at that point, and that's what I did. I played fairly tight up to this point, and it's nothing I'll do without a rather strong read. I'm still not sure if it was that great, but it worked well for me.

I think that there's a lot of equity in finding these spots against weak players, and I'm trying to do this more and more. It's dangarous and read dependend, so that's why I'm looking for feedback.
